Lindsay A. Joyner Sworn In as President-Elect of the South Carolina Bar

[Columbia, S.C. – May 22, 2026] Gallivan White Boyd (GWB) is honored to share that Lindsay A. Joyner has been sworn in to office as President-Elect of the South Carolina Bar for the 2026-2027 Bar year.

Joyner has been a part of GWB since 2012 in the firm’s Charleston and Columbia, South Carolina offices. Her leadership and commitment within the South Carolina Bar are already highly regarded, as she has held numerous positions, including Treasurer, Secretary, House of Delegates Chair, Board of Governors Member, Trial & Appellate Advocacy Section Chair, Wellness Committee Chair and Young Lawyers Division President.

The South Carolina Bar serves more than 19,000 attorneys licensed in the Palmetto State under the unified judicial system established in 1975. The purposes of the Bar include continually improving the administration of justice throughout the State; requiring the highest standards of ethical and professional conduct, and upholding the integrity and honor of the legal profession; promoting consistent high quality of legal education and legal services to the public; applying the knowledge, experience and ability of the legal profession to the promotion of the public good; and encouraging goodwill and respect for integrity and excellence in public service among the members of the legal profession and the public.

Joyner focuses her practice on business and commercial litigation, lender liability, professional negligence and high net-worth trusts and estates litigation and has presented matters in these practice areas before both state and federal courts. Among her honors include Chambers USA, Litigation: General Commercial (2022-2025), South Carolina Lawyers Weekly Leadership in Law Honoree, South Carolina Lawyers Weekly Excellence in Law Honoree, and South Carolina Super Lawyers®. She has consistently been ranked by Best Lawyers in America® since 2020, achieving Lawyer of the Year for Litigation, Trusts and Estates, in 2026.
