Biography
Claire Epps is an associate in the firm’s Charlotte, North Carolina office where she represents clients in civil litigation and insurance matters. She is licensed in North Carolina and Alabama and was recognized by Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch® in America 2027.
Before joining Gallivan White & Boyd, Claire was an associate at an established multi‐disciplinary regional law firm in Alabama, where she represented clients in civil litigation, primarily focusing on insurance defense and coverage, transportation and construction disputes, and premises liability. Claire has presented matters in a broad range of insurance coverage and defense disputes in both state and federal courts.
A native of Alabama, Claire graduated summa cum laude from the University of Alabama with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and obtained her Juris Doctor from the University of Alabama School of Law. While in law school, she worked as a legal extern at the District Attorney’s Office of Jefferson County, Alabama, and as a legal intern at the District Attorney’s Office of Dallas County, Texas. In addition, Claire gained invaluable knowledge as a legal intern for a litigation firm and as a clinical student in education law, representing children with disabilities. She was an editor of the Law & Psychology Review, a member of the Bench and Bar Legal Honor Society and served on the Moot Court Board and as the Public Interest Student Board Secretary.
When not in the office, Claire can often be found spending time with friends and family, listening to a podcast, or watching reality TV shows. She is always open to recommendations for good books and new Pilates studios.
