Biography
Michael D. Crump is an associate in the firm’s Greenville, South Carolina office where his practice focuses on workers’ compensation defense.
Before joining Gallivan, White & Boyd in 2026, Michael spent nearly three years at a well-respected private firm in Columbia, South Carolina as a member of its workers’ compensation defense team. His litigation capabilities were recognized by his peers when he was selected as Columbia Business Monthly’s 2025 Legal Elite of South Carolina for workers’ compensation defense. Michael also has experience with civil litigation, including a background in dram shop, premises liability, defamation, and car and trucking accidents.
Michael received his bachelor’s degree in mass communication from Winthrop University, graduating cum laude and with honors, in 2018. He earned his Juris Doctor degree from the University of South Carolina School of Law in 2022. While in law school, Michael was a member of the Moot Court bar and argued before the Supreme Court of South Carolina as a finalist in the 2021 J. Woodrow Lewis Competition, as well as competing in external competitions.
Michael is admitted to practice in South Carolina, as well as the United States District Court for the District of South Carolina and the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit.
