Biography
Carter Massingill is a versatile litigator and trial lawyer whose practice spans a wide range of complex business and civil disputes. He has recovered millions of dollars on behalf of plaintiffs and successfully defended clients against catastrophic financial risk.
Carter represents businesses, fiduciaries, property owners, developers, and individuals in high-stakes commercial litigation, complex real estate and land use disputes, construction matters, and trust and estate litigation. He appears regularly in state and federal courts and arbitration forums throughout the region.
His experience includes shareholder oppression and business divorce litigation, trade secret and restrictive covenant disputes, corporate buyouts, fiduciary litigation, unfair trade practice claims, construction defect class actions, enforcement and collection proceedings, wrongful death actions, catastrophic injury cases, and other complex civil matters.
