Jada T. Wilson

Biography

Jada T. Wilson is a litigation associate whose practice focuses on complex civil litigation, products liability, wrongful death, and catastrophic personal injury matters. She represents clients in a broad range of disputes and assists with all phases of litigation, including legal research, motion practice, discovery, deposition preparation, trial preparation, and overall case strategy.

Before joining Gallivan White & Boyd, Jada practiced at an Am Law 200 firm, where she worked on high-profile white collar and civil matters involving internal investigations, compliance and/or regulatory issues, and civil and criminal enforcement matters. In that role, she assisted with sensitive matters involving allegations of fraud, corruption, and other criminal misconduct. She also supported attorneys in governmental and administrative review processes and in matters requiring coordination with state and federal law enforcement agencies.

Her litigation experience includes defending products liability matters involving talc and asbestos claims, handling complex commercial and business disputes, and representing major retailers and manufacturers in personal injury litigation. She has also contributed to large-scale document review and litigation support in connection with a real estate class action matter.

Prior to practicing law full time, Jada served as a law clerk in both private firm and criminal defense settings, where she gained experience with traditional criminal cases as well as a variety of state and federal matters. Before law school, she also worked in consulting and community development-focused roles involving financial institutions and Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) initiatives, which gave her additional exposure to business, regulatory, and compliance-related issues.

Jada earned her Juris Doctor from the University of South Carolina School of Law, where she held several leadership positions, including Director of the Pre-Law Student Division for the Southern Region of the Black Law Students Association and Vice President for the University of South Carolina Black Law Students Association. She also served as a Pro Bono Student Wellness Coordinator and participated in several additional student and bar-affiliated leadership initiatives.

She received both her Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences and her Master of Science in Community Engaged Medicine from Furman University. Jada is admitted to practice in South Carolina and has been recognized by The National Black Lawyers as a “Top 40 Under 40” attorney.

Outside of her practice, Jada enjoys cooking, traveling, and spending time with her two Yorkies.
