Billy McGee Honored as Managing Partners to Watch by SCLW

[Greenville,  S.C. – August 24, 2026]  Gallivan White Boyd (GWB) is pleased to announce that C. William ‘Billy’ McGee has been selected as one of South Carolina’s 2026 Managing Partners to Watch by South Carolina Lawyers Weekly (SCLW).

This recognition celebrates the firm leaders who influence, lead and elevate the South Carolina legal community, creating meaningful impact through their work. To be considered, nominees must have served as managing partner for a minimum of two years and remain actively involved in practicing law as well as administering the firm.

Since January 2008, McGee has fulfilled the role as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and is involved at every level. Responsible for the firm’s executive leadership, strategic oversight and overall direction, GWB has experienced substantial growth under his guidance. The firm has nearly doubled in size and expanded from one office in Greenville to a total of four, including Columbia and Charleston, South Carolina, as well as Charlotte, North Carolina.

GWB lawyers are recognized as leaders throughout the South Carolina Bar as well as nationally. McGee’s vision and support have contributed to the firm’s lawyers reaching the pinnacle of numerous defense organizations. Accomplished in his own right, McGee remains one of the leading attorneys for complex litigation in the state of South Carolina.
