Biography
Sarah E. Kennedy is an associate in the firm’s Columbia office, where she practices in the areas of business and commercial litigation, insurance coverage, products liability, and TIPS. She assists clients with contract disputes, business torts, and corporate governance matters through research, drafting, and strategic case development.
Before joining the firm as an attorney, Sarah was a summer law clerk with GWB, where she gained experience in complex commercial litigation. Prior to her work at GWB, she also clerked with a regional defense firm and completed a judicial observation program with a South Carolina Court of Appeals judge.
Sarah earned her J.D. from the University of South Carolina Joseph F. Rice School of Law, where she was awarded the John R. Holland Scholarship in recognition of her leadership and community involvement. While in law school, she served as Staff Development Editor for the ABA Real Property, Trust and Estate Law Journal and President of Women in Law. She also actively served on the Pro Bono Board and with the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program. She was also chosen to be a student member of the John Belton O’Neall Inn of Court.
Outside of the office, Sarah enjoys playing golf, traveling, spending time with friends and family, and cheering on the Clemson Tigers.
