Biography
Nancy is a litigation attorney practicing in the firm’s Columbia, South Carolina office. She represents clients in all stages of civil litigation and government investigations at both the state and federal level. Practice areas include Business and Commercial Litigation, Healthcare Litigation, Qui Tam/False Claims Act cases and Government Liability.
Before joining GWB, Nancy was an Assistant United States Attorney. She worked in the Affirmative Civil Enforcement section, representing the United States in civil cases brought under the False Claims Act, primarily focusing on cases involving healthcare fraud. She also served as the office’s Health Care Fraud Coordinator.
Prior to her time at the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Nancy was the Director of the South Carolina Medicaid Fraud Control Unit at the South Carolina Attorney General’s Office. She worked with teams of federal and state investigators, auditors, and attorneys to investigate and prosecute healthcare providers who were defrauding taxpayers by submitting fraudulent claims to the state Medicaid program.
Nancy has significant courtroom experience, having spent several years as a prosecutor, bringing cases involving both violent and white collar crimes in county and state courts.
