Meagan L. Allen is an attorney in the Charlotte, North Carolina office. Her primary law practice focuses on torts and insurance, business and commercial litigation, product liability, commercial transportation, and a wide array of other complex litigation.
Meagan is a graduate of the University of South Carolina (UofSC) School of Law, where she was editor-in-chief of the South Carolina Journal of International Law and Business and vice president of the Student Animal Legal Defense Fund. Meagan was a member of the John Belton O’Neall Inn of Court and the Diversity and Inclusion Task Force. She also served as a peer mentor to incoming 1Ls. Meagan has interned with the Honorable Kaye G. Hearn of the South Carolina Supreme Court and clerked for the Honorable Steven H. John, Resident Circuit Judge of the Fifteenth Judicial Circuit, South Carolina Circuit Court. Before receiving her juris doctor from UofSC, Meagan attended the College of Charleston (CofC) and graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in political science. At CofC, Meagan double-minored in Crime, Law and Society and Women’s and Gender Studies. Meagan studied art history abroad in Italy.
Through her experience both before and after law school, Meagan developed proficient research, writing and communication skills. She has gained significant exposure to the litigation process, motions practice, and compelling performance in a courtroom. Her participation and interest in music and live performance has given her the ability to engage a large and diverse audience and has honed her ability to perform well under pressure. Meagan prides herself on her unwavering dedication and loyalty to clients, as well as her passion for aiding clients throughout every aspect of the litigation process.
