Biography
Christopher C. Hawkins is an associate in the firm’s Columbia, South Carolina, office. He practices civil litigation at both the state and federal level, and his principal areas of practice include personal injury, business and commercial litigation, and products liability.
Christopher received two undergraduate degrees, cum laude, from the University of South Carolina and earned his Juris Doctorate from the University of South Carolina School of Law in May of 2018. While attending law school, Christopher gained legal experience through various endeavors: law clerk for the Office of General Counsel of the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control; student attorney at the Carolina Health Advocacy Medicolegal Partnership (CHAMPS) Clinic under South Carolina Appellate Court Rule 401; and editor for the Journal of International Law and Business.
Christopher is most proud of his time serving as an extern under Fifth Circuit Judge Jocelyn Newman. During his externship, Christopher contributed to a variety of legal matters, ranging from post-conviction relief to matters of first impression under South Carolina law.
Having served as operations coordinator in the firm’s Columbia office prior to law school, Christopher has a unique legal perspective. He understands the importance of excellent service with value to his clients. As a result, Christopher strives to provide skillful service with open and consistent communication to exceed his clients’ expectations.
