GWB's products liability team has extensive experience in defending a wide variety of products liability claims, including mass tort and catastrophic loss claims. With an emphasis on strategic advocacy, team members are frequently called upon to conduct accident investigations and routinely advise clients on all aspects of the post-accident investigation and claims process. For 2010, GWB continued to be ranked as the #1 law firm in Greenville for Products Liability Litigation by Best Lawyers in America. Five GWB attorneys were listed in Best Lawyers in America for Products Liability, including: Daniel B. White, W. Howard Boyd, Jr., James D. Brice, Phillip E. Reeves, and C. William McGee. Three attorneys (White, Boyd, and Reeves) have also been recognized as South Carolina Super Lawyers.
Team members are also active in the International Association of Defense Counsel (IADC), the Federation of Defense and Corporate Counsel (FDCC), the Defense Research Institute (DRI), the Women in Products Liability Subcommittee for the American Bar Association, and the National Center for State Courts. The firm also participates actively in the National Foundation for Judicial Excellence (NFJE) and Lawyers for Civil Justice (LCJ). As team leader Phil Reeves explains, GWB has recently launched Abnormal Use: An Unreasonably Dangerous Products Liability Blog in order to keep its clients and others informed about products liability issues as they develop across the country.
