GALLIVAN, WHITE & BOYD'S PRODUCTS LIABILITY BLOG ABNORMAL USE CHOSEN AS ONE OF THE ABA JOURNAL'S  BLAWG 100

Greenville, SC - Editors of the prestigious ABA Journal recently selected Abnormal Use: An Unreasonably Dangerous Products Liability Blog, the official legal blog of the Greenville-based law firm of Gallivan, White & Boyd, P.A., as one of the ABA Journal Blawg 100.  The ABA Journal describes its Blawg 100 as the year's "100 best legal blogs."  For the past several years, the editors have identified the top legal 100 blogs in the country, and this year, GWB's blog was named to the list based on its successes during its first year of existence.

Abnormal Use (www.abnormaluse.com) is authored by partners Phillip E. ReevesStephanie G. Flynn, and Jim Dedman with contributing authors Kevin Couch, Mary Giorgi, Laura Simons, and Frances Zacher. Abnormal Use features posts each business day regarding products liability cases and litigation in addition to interviews with law professors and practitioners.  The blog has also strayed into popular culture, featuring interviews with television star Phil Morris, who played lawyer Jackie Chiles on "Seinfeld" and Michael Sardo, the producer of the new USA Network legal series, "Fairly Legal."  Abnormal Use has been linked to and referenced in the New York Times, National Public Radio, Scientific American, The Economist and many other blogs and periodicals.

"GWB is honored to have its products liability blog, Abnormal Use, ranked as one of the best law blogs in the country," said Reeves. "With less than a year since our first post, we look forward to further expanding and growing Abnormal Use in the future."

This year, the ABA Journal also permitted its readers to vote for their favorite blogs among the 100 that had been selected. Abnormal Use was chosen as the most popular torts blog.

The ABA Journal is the magazine of the American Bar Association, and is read by half of the nation's 1.1 million lawyers every month. With approximately 400,000 members, the American Bar Association is the largest voluntary professional membership organization in the world. As the national voice of the legal profession, the ABA works to improve the administration of justice, promotes programs that assist lawyers and judges in their work, accredits law schools, provides continuing legal education, and works to build public understanding, around the world, of the importance of the rule of law.
