Gallivan, White & Boyd Helps Fund Novel For South Carolina Students
Greenville, SC - Gallivan White & Boyd is one of two South Carolina law firms that have provided funds for civic lessons for hundreds of middle and high school students across the state. The two law firms have purchased more than 3,000 books, entitled "Justice Case Files," to donate to teachers in South Carolina. "Justice Case Files" is a series of three novels, produced by the National Center for State Courts (NCSC), that are designed to heighten students' awareness of how the judicial system works. To date, teachers from 65 schools throughout the state have requested the novels. South Carolina students will be among the first in the country to benefit from the "Justice Case Files" series, which was a project initiated by retired U.S. Supreme Court Justice Sandra Day O'Connor and supported by South Carolina Supreme Court Chief Justice Jean Toal.
