Greenville, SC -- The law firm of Gallivan, White & Boyd announces the election of James M. Dedman, IV as a Partner.

Dedman joined the firm in 2006 having previously practiced in Southeast Texas. He practices in the areas of tort, products liability, and transportation litigation and was integral in the creation and success of the firm's award-winning Products Liability Blog, Abnormal Use. He is a member of the Greenville County Bar Association, the South Carolina Bar, the American Bar Association, the Defense Research Institute and the South Carolina Defense Trial Attorneys' Association. In 2006, he formed the Upstate South Carolina chapter of the University of Texas Exes Alumni Association. He also serves on the board of the South Carolina Arts Foundation. Dedman received his B.S. from the University of Texas in 1998 and his J.D. from the Baylor University School of Law in 2002.
