Background

Throughout his 25 year legal career, Phil Reeves has been known for his unparalled commitment and dedication to his clients, the community and the legal profession. He has tried approximately 200 cases of all types and handled numerous appeals. Reeves' focus in his litigation and trial work over the years has been in the insurance, products liability and transportation industries, with particular emphasis on first party claims, and he is listed in Best Lawyers in America for personal injury litigation. He has been active in the insurance community for many years, where he is known for his creative approach to solving his clients' problems. Reeves' commitment is evidenced by his long resume of professional and community activities and his leadership in them. He is currently the State Executive Chair of the South Carolina Bar's Resolution of Fee Disputes, a former Chair of the Bar's Torts and Insurance Practices Council, and a member of IADC, FDCC and DRI. Reeves also serves as a board member and immediate past president of the Greenville Humane Society and past president of the Speech, Hearing and Learning Center. Within the firm, Reeves spends a great deal of time mentoring younger lawyers, and currently serves as Chair of GWB's Associate Committee.
