Gallivan White Boyd Attorney Jennifer E. Johnsen has been elected as a Fellow of the American College of Coverage Counsel
Gallivan White & Boyd is pleased to announce that partner Jennifer E. Johnsen has been elected as a Fellow of the American College of Coverage Counsel (“ACCC”). The ACCC is a national invitation-only organization comprised of over 300 experienced and recognized lawyers involved in insurance coverage matters. Fellows are attorneys who represent policyholders or insurers. The ACCC engages in an extensive vetting process prior to inviting a lawyer to become a Fellow. Established in 2012, the College focuses on the creative, ethical, and efficient adjudication of insurance coverage disputes; peer-provided scholarship; professional coordination and the improvement of the relationship between and among its diverse members. At GWB, Jennifer serves as the Group Leader for the firm’s Insurance Practice. Johnsen’s leadership skills and more than 28 years of trial and litigation experience have benefited the clients she serves in her law practice which focuses on insurance coverage, ERISA benefits, and business and commercial litigation. Johnsen currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Federation of Defense & Corporate Counsel, is a Vice Chair of the Admissions Committee and a Vice Chair of the Projects & Objectives Committee of the FDCC. In addition, she serves as a Vice Chair of the Insurance Coverage substantive law section and served as Chair of the Life, Health & Disability section of the FDCC from 2012 -2104. Jennifer was Co-Chair of the FDCC’s Insurance Industry Symposium held in 2015. Jennifer is also a former president of the Greenville County Bar Association. Apart from her service to the profession, Jennifer currently serves on the Board of Trustees for the United Way of Greenville County and was Chair of the United Way of Greenville County’s 2016 Campaign, which raised more than $16.5 million dollars.
