GWB is a defense-oriented general litigation firm. Our lawyers focus on several core areas of competency, including commercial transportation litigation, healthcare litigation, toxic and mass torts, products liability, corporate planning, and construction litigation. Our lawyers have considerable experience handling class actions, mass torts and other complex, high-stakes litigation involving multiple parties and causes of action.
The firm is organized as a Professional Association led by a managing shareholder and executive committee. The 46 lawyers and 55 support staff that make up our firm operate within four major groups—litigation, business and commercial law, insurance practice and workplace practices. Each group is further organized into teams of lawyers who stay abreast of the latest developments—legal, social and political—that affect their specific clients. We encourage and practice collaboration among teams and groups to enhance our knowledge base and resources.
A partner with extensive experience in the group’s practice areas chairs each group and is responsible for marshalling group and firm resources to maximize client service and outcomes. Attorney crossover between or among teams is common when clients need legal services that implicate more than one practice group. This group structure helps our firm function efficiently on a day-to-day basis and allows the flexibility to ensure that the full breadth of the firm’s resources are available to clients when situations demand it. |
