Duffie Powers and Michelle DeLuca Yarbrough Elected Shareholders and Zach Weaver Partner

Gallivan, White & Boyd is pleased to announce that Duffie Powers and Michelle DeLuca Yarbrough have been elected as shareholders and Zach Weaver has been elected as a partner. The elections took place at Gallivan, White and Boyd’s shareholders meeting in December.

Duffie Powers centers his legal practice on the areas of Design and Construction and Creditors’ Rights in the firm’s South Carolina offices. Having previously worked in the construction industry, Powers has a unique insight into the challenges faced by contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and design professionals. Powers has been recognized in the legal profession by Benchmark Litigation – Under 40 Hotlist and Rising Stars for Bankruptcy & Creditors’ Rights by Super Lawyers.

Michelle DeLuca Yarbrough is an experienced litigation attorney and shareholder in the firm’s Greenville office.  Her practice is primarily geared toward the defense of workers’ compensation matters on the behalf of employers, insurance carriers, self-insured corporations, third party administrators, and claims servicing agencies; however, she also practices law in the transportation, torts, and personal injury practice areas.  Yarbrough was recognized by Greenville Business Magazine as “Legal Elite” in Workers’ Compensation: Defense in 2014.

Zach Weaver is a business and commercial, employment, and probate litigation attorney practicing in GWB’s Greenville office.  Additionally, Weaver serves as outside corporate counsel for businesses and corporations. In this capacity, Weaver serves his clients by quarterbacking the day-to-day legal issues that arise for numerous local, national, and international businesses. He has also received several accolades including Best & Brightest Under 35 by Greenville Business Magazine, Legal Elite – Business Litigation by Greenville Business Magazine, and Rising Star for Business Litigation by South Carolina Super Lawyers.
