Each year GWB recruits associates from law schools throughout the southeast. The firm hires attorneys who have demonstrated academic excellence and who have outstanding leadership, advocacy, and legal writing skills.

Current Openings

GWB is always seeking resumes from attorneys who excel in their practice areas and who wish to continue building their career and practice at one of the Southeast's leading litigation law firms. Currently, we are seeking associates with the following qualifications:

  • An associate with 3-5 years of commercial litigation or other complex litigation experience to work in our Columbia, SC office
  • An associate with 2-4 years of professional negligence or other complex litigation experience to work in our Greenville, SC office
  • An associate with 2-5 years of workers' compensation experience and some degree of portable business to work in our Charlotte, NC office

Compensation and Benefits

GWB offers highly competitive salaries commensurate with level of experience. In addition, our associates have the opportunity to earn significant performance-based bonuses. The firm also provides a profit-sharing plan, a 401(k) plan, a cafeteria plan, health insurance coverage for associates, life insurance, and both short- and long-term disability benefits. Associates who join GWB immediately after graduating from law school also receive a $5,000 signing bonus and have the opportunity to earn an additional bonus by completing South Carolina’s Rule 403 trial requirements before joining the firm. GWB also pays state and county Bar Association dues, CLE expenses, and membership dues in approved professional and civic organizations.
