Rob Corney is a Partner in the firm’s Greenville office. Rob focuses his practice on tort and personal injury, products liability, toxic and mass torts, and drug and medical device matters.  He has represented clients in a number of different matters related to tort defense, but concentrates the majority of his practice on the defense of motor vehicle accidents and premises liability actions in the following industries:

  • Hospitality
  • Retail
  • Restaurants
  • Entertainment

Prior to joining GWB, Rob worked in the South Carolina Attorney General’s office as an Assistant Attorney General.  During his tenure at the Attorney General’s Office, Rob represented the State in over 200 cases at the circuit court level, as well as dozens of appellate matters before the South Carolina Court of Appeals and Supreme Court. The experience gained handling these types of cases has provided Rob with critical trial skills and litigation experience that allow him to be a zealous and persuasive advocate for his clients in the courtroom.

Rob understands the stress that accompanies being named as a defendant in a civil lawsuit; that is why he works diligently to advise his clients of the nuances of their case from the outset and to keep them informed with updated details at every stage of the litigation process.
