Phil Reeves is a partner in the firm’s Greenville office.  He has focused his litigation and trial work over the years on insurance, products liability, and transportation. Phil has tried approximately 200 cases of all types and handled numerous appeals in state and federal courts.

With particular emphasis on first party claims, Phil has centered his insurance practice on representing insurers on various insurance coverage issues as well as extra-contractual and bad faith cases for more than 33 years.  These issues involve several different policy types including:

  • Garage Keeper’s Liability

Phil has also been active in the products liability practice area for many years, where he is known for his creative approach to solving his clients’ problems.  Phil has extensive experience in defending a wide variety of products liability claims such as mass tort and catastrophic loss claims. He often represents clients who are involved in the manufacture or distribution of a wide range of products including:

Additionally, Phil has a vigorous transportation and trucking law practice. Phil has represented clients in matters that include but are not limited to:

Phil’s legal experience in the trucking industry has also allowed him to coordinate a number of emergency responses during his career.  Phil is able to handle all aspects of a catastrophic incident from the accident scene to the litigation that follows.
