Biography

Kaitlin Rothecker is an associate practicing in the firm’s Charlotte, North Carolina, office.  Kaitlin received her undergraduate degree from the University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill and earned her Juris Doctor, cum laude, from the Campbell University Norman Adrian Wiggins School of Law.  At Campbell, Kaitlin served as member of Campbell’s National Mock Trial Advocacy Program and as a research assistant to Professor Gerald Powell of Baylor University.  Kaitlin distinguished herself in Trial Advocacy finishing as a:

  • Semi-Finalist, Baylor Law School Top Gun Mock Trial Invitational, June 2015
  • National Champion, South Texas Mock Trial Challenge, March 2015
    -  Most Distinguished Professional Advocate of the Preliminary Rounds
    -  Best Advocate in the Final Round
  • National Runner-Up, National Institute of Trial Advocacy Tournament of Champions, October 2014

Additionally, Kaitlin has participated in numerous other competitions to refine and improve her abilities as a courtroom trial lawyer.

Kaitlin is a member of the firm’s Commercial Transportation Team, Business and Commercial Litigation Team, and Design and Construction Team.  Kaitlin is involved in handling and trying to verdict matters which include:

  • Transportation Contract and General Contract Disputes;
  • Cargo Claims for both motor carriers and freight brokers;
  • Freight Charge Disputes and Collections for both motor carriers and freight brokers;
  • Warehousing Disputes;
  • Regulatory Appeals;
  • Catastrophic Personal Injury Claims;
  • Employee Misclassification issues; and
  • Significant Property Damage Claims.

Kaitlin’s brings enthusiasm, attention to detail and responsive to the needs of her clients in every matter that she handles.  Kaitlin understand that GWB doesn’t just develop litigators but trial attorneys who understand how to succeed in the courtroom.  Kaitlin’s strengths are a commitment to regular communication and achieving the highest level of satisfaction by her clients.
