Biography

Howard Boyd has over 38 years of experience successfully managing complex litigation for the firm’s clients, from advising on strategy before litigation ensues through trial, appeal, or alternative dispute resolution. Howard, who is located in the firm’s Greenville office, has successfully handled a wide variety of civil litigation during his career, including over 200 jury trials and numerous appeals.  He currently focuses his practice on business and commercial litigation, class actions, government liability, professional negligence, and appellate matters.

Howard leads GWB’s business and commercial litigation team as well as the government liability team.  Within his business and commercial litigation practice, Howard represents corporate and individual clients in business disputes and complex litigation matters. Howard is accomplished in handling of business torts, contracts, corporate finance, insurance, trade secrets, and other disputes arising out of business transactions.

Howard also has a well-respected professional negligence practice.  He represents individuals, businesses, and corporations in regulatory and professional malpractice matters.  Some of the professionals Howard often defends include:
