Biography

Ashley Stratton is a litigation attorney that practices in GWB’s Columbia, South Carolina, office. She regularly represents insurers, third-party risk managers, corporations, and businesses in legal matters before the federal, state, and appellate courts.  Ashley dedicates a significant portion of her practice on appellate law and advocates for her clients on issues related to insurance coverage, environmental law, and corporate and commercial transactions.

A significant portion of Ashley’s practice is devoted to insurance coverage.  She represents client in the litigation of first party and third party claims related to the following types of coverage matters:

  • Bad Faith Claims
  • Commercial Vehicle Liability
  • Environmental Liability
  • General Liability
  • Premise Liability

Ashley is also well versed in appellate law based on years of experience clerking for the South Carolina Supreme Court and handling appeals.  As both a litigator and an experienced appellate attorney, Ashley approaches cases with a long range vision focusing her skills on a polished motion and brief writing practice.  Her Federal and State appellate experience involves issues related to:

  • Pharmacy Liability
  • Workers’ Compensation
  • Insurance Coverage
  • Personal Liability matters such as assumption of the risk
